Meeting between SME Foundation and JBCCI
A meeting between JBCCI and SME Foundation bilateral was held on April 12, 2022
at SME Foundation office Dhaka regarding development of SME sector. JBCCI
shared the study report on recommending a framework for the development of the
SME sector in Bangladesh jointly conducted by JBCCI and ICOSA Japan. From
JBCCI, Mr. Asif A. Chowdhury, President, Mr. M. Jalalul Hai Vice President, Mr.
Tareq Rafi Bhuiyan Jun, Secretary General, Mr. Md. Emran Executive Director and
Mr. Kazunori Yamada Representative, JRTRO were present in the meeting. From SME
Foundation Dr. Md. Masudur Rahman, Chairperson and Dr. Md. Mafizur Rahman,
Managing Director and other senior officials were present. Chairperson
of SME Foundation viewed that the study report is found conducive to the
development of SME sector in Bangladesh. He showed keen interest to work with
JBCCI in the field of technology transfer (light engineering), skill training
and SME fair. Both
sides exchanged views on the study report and future development of SME sector
in Bangladesh. They agreed to find out specific areas of cooperation to work
together for the development of SME sector in Bangladesh.
